It is true, April showers do bring May flowers, and the fashion industry is no exception! I know, you must be thinking of that famous line from The Devil Wears Prada, “Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking”. Obviously that is pure sarcasm coming from Miranda Priestly, but there is no doubt florals always reemerge in a vibrant, fresh way with each new spring collection. It is actually difficult to not wear anything floral in the springtime. So enjoy this beautiful trend and enjoy seeing the flowers bloom this May! Have a wonderful week! xoxo

Happy Tuesday, and Happy(belated) Mother’s Day to all of the moms! Today’s outfit post features the beautiful color combination of aqua and dark green. I love to play with color combinations while putting together an outfit. It is fun to mix and match pieces in your wardrobe to create a variety of looks with what you already have! The oversized aqua sweater featured in this post is extremely comfortable and adds a great shape to this outfit with its silhouette and bell sleeves. The white skinny jeans in this look keeps it fresh and bright for spring! The heels I am wearing in this post are very, very comfortable. They are the Madison 12-hour pumps sold by Banana Republic. They are sold in a bunch of different colors and patterns! Have fun this spring by playing with color combinations! Let me know, what are your favorite spring colors??

Hello beautiful people! I have missed you all! A buildup of several life events, obstacles, and stressors caused my unplanned hiatus from Girl With All the Curls. I hope to be back to posting once a week and reconnecting with you all. I deeply appreciate your loyalty and understanding.
On to today’s post…Today is the 2018 Met Gala also known as the Met Ball. This event, also known as the Super Bowl of fashion, is hosted at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Since ticket prices for the event start at $25,000, I will be celebrating the occasion from Chicago with this post! The blush dress in this post is one of my current favorites and was purchased for less than $50 at TJMaxx! The intricate details of this dress are what struck me most about this piece. The lace, pleats, and tiers of tulle are ultra feminine and beautiful. This dress by Heartloom looks expensive but was bought at a bargain price! What dress will you be throwing on this evening to celebrate this Met Gala Monday?
